Entrepreneur of the Week: Trevor Crotts, BuddyRest and Pup IQ
“The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It’s as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer.” –Nolan Bushnell, entrepreneur.
Sitting down with , we got right to what he is doing to put his goals into fruition. At the forefront of Crott’s mind, is the changing of seasons. Winter is the busiest time of year for dog beds, as dogs spend more time indoors and hence more time on their beds—leading to higher purchases from consumers. For this busy season, Crotts explains, BuddyRest and Pup IQ must be ready. His immediate goal, therefore, is to build up the business infrastructure for the coming winter.
As far as more immediate goals, Trevor is looking forward to polishing his pitch for Pitch Friday, which will be Friday, September 23rd. Having the perfect and polished pitch is what will make the difference for the success of Pitch Friday and later for Accelerate the Heartland.
I talked with Crotts on what has been the most valuable for him thus far from working with e2e Accelerator. With the help of e2e, Crotts has been able to see the true value networking right here in Wichita versus having to go to another city. Without e2e, it would have been easy to overlook or not even find the networking possibilities Wichita has to offer.
When not at work, Crotts travels as much as humanly possible. Exploring new areas and meeting new people makes travel something he lives for.
