Wichita-based Program Will Provide Capital & Mentoring To Companies Poised For Growth In Advanced Materials, Manufacturing, Energy, Franchising, Hospitality & Healthcare

Wichita, Kansas — The formal search for a CEO to lead the launch of Wichita’s E2E Accelerator in 2016 has begun. The E2E Accelerator is one of the key projects coming out of the Entrepreneurship Task Force (ETF) formed by the Leadership Council of The Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce in 2014.

Business accelerators prepare selected companies for rapid and sustained growth with a program of guidance, mentorship and capital to create sound values and a clear strategy for growth. The E2E Accelerator is planning to announce its first round of 4-6 participant companies in early 2016. The CEO-search should be completed this year, giving the new leader a few months to finalize details of programming and the selection of the first group of companies to participate.

“The task force has defined the mission, the framework and secured great partners and funding to support the launch. Now, it’s time for a full-time CEO to lead this project to launch and daily operation.” said Gary O Borny, Co-chairman of the ETF and member of the Leadership Council.

The national search, led by Alicia Holloway at Right Consulting, seeks candidates with a background of at least 3 years in a leadership position at an accelerator, with experience from program concept to successful operations. Previous entrepreneurial experience including start-up, market validation, fundraising and operational business building is also preferred. A background in technology and/or science is important, as is experience working in a collaborative environment such as public-private partnerships. Above all, the candidate must have a true entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for achieving success.

The CEO will be responsible for the co-management of a private pool of seed capital to be invested in early-stage “scalable” companies. The successful candidate will build and maintain key working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders including key industry leaders in Wichita, capital providers both locally and nationally, as well as other resource organizations for entrepreneurship and small business development.

The position offers an excellent salary in addition to a performance-based incentive package.

Interested candidates are encouraged to send a resume in complete confidence to Alicia@Rightrecruitingks.com.
